Prior arrangements are necessary

Without this letter, the clearance of your vehicle will not be completed and it has to wait at the port until the authority sees these two documents. Letter of Authority can be obtained in 5-6 days of applying to the National Regulator for Compulsory Specifications. For the application the IE462 form is to be completed and the formalities needed to complete it differ for Immigrants and returning South African residents. Other documents that are needed in this regard are:

  • Copy of the photo page of your passport
  • Copy of vehicle license document (V5)
